Kreditech in Deutsche Boerse’s programme for European growth funding
- Kreditech one of the first growth companies on board
- Additional access to Pre-IPO and IPO investors
- Launch set for June 2015
May, 1, 2015 – Kreditech is participating in the “Deutsche Boerse Venture Network” (DBVN), a network for growth companies and late-stage/ pre-IPO investors by Deutsche Boerse Venture Network which has been announced this week. The aim of the programme is to bring together businesses and investors to help the companies prepare for an IPO and make an effective improvement in the funding of new high-growth companies. Its launch is scheduled for June 2015.
“The Deutsche Boerse Venture Network will support strengthening our relations with pre IPO and IPO investors.” explains Rene Griemens, CFO of Kreditech Group. “We are currently preparing ourselves on all organizational levels for a potential IPO in 2016. We expect that the platform will help us in this preparation, even if in the end we decide to postpone by another year.”
Kreditech will benefit from the opportunity to connect in a trustworthy environment with IPO investors. While the network is also a financing and bridge investment platform, Kreditech prefers the direct dialogue with investors worldwide for its growth financing rounds. In its latest financing the company raised EUR 160 million from Victory Park Capital, a leading investor in the online lending space.
Kreditech is specialized in big data scoring by using complex machine-learning algorithms. The Group, currently growing at 300-400% p.a., is able to deliver financial services to the 4 billion unbanked consumers worldwide. With it’s mission to “build a ‘digital bank’ for the unscored” the Group has recently launched a new flexible loan product that accommodates consumers’ financing requirements individually, with APRs well below the market average. This, amongst many other products in the pipeline, will leverage Kreditech’s exit from the microloan sector.
