Team and management grow with a fluctuation of 1.6 percent
The claim that “manager loss” is completely fabricated nonsense
Hamburg, October 16, 2014 – Yesterday and today, two media outlets spread untruths about the Hamburg technology company Kreditech. The information that management is disappearing and the culture and morale in the company are deteriorating is completely fabricated nonsense. Kreditech is one of the fastest-growing European tech companies with more than 20 percent growth per month and a current cash revenue run rate of USD 35 million. It was recently valued by investors at USD 200 million.
The positions of the ten people mentioned were all filled with qualified successors immediately after they left. In addition, the people mentioned left the company more than six to twelve months ago. The emails quoted are from February 2014 and the text passages are completely taken out of context. Every single one except two people left the company on friendly terms. They were recommended by management to friendly companies, left the country or started a family – no matter what it was, Kreditech always supported them in their decision.
What is currently happening at Kreditech:
– There are a total of 12 people in the management team, C-level and SVPs.
– Samir El-Alami has been the new CMO since October. As an experienced entrepreneur, he previously headed marketing for various startups in the UK in leading positions.
– Jose Garcia Moreno-Torres was promoted to Chief Data Officer, Andrew Shaw to CIO. Both have helped build the company from the beginning.
– Other experienced managers have been hired: Christian Miele, SVP Internationalization, Anders Johnsen, SVP Country Management, Lennart Boerner, SVP Strategy and Special Operations, Aleksander Rutkowski, Country Manager Poland, Anna Friedrich, VP Communications, Anne Martens, VP HR.
Existing and former employees comment on Kreditech:
Rene Griemens, CFO for a year: “The article is complete nonsense. Kreditech is growing at around 20 percent per month. This also requires personal growth from employees. Over a period of one year, an average of 1.6% decided not to continue to support the growth personally. There are companies like GE or McKinsey that consider this rate to be too low – we are proud that we can retain so many employees in the long term.”
Dinara Apakidze, Country Manager Russia: “I have accompanied Kreditech on its journey from the very beginning. I started as an intern and rose to become Country Manager for Russia. Kreditech has grown with me and I have grown with Kreditech. For me, there is no better place to work to continuously develop your own potential.”
David Goday, former Country Manager Spain: “In the two years at Kreditech, I built up my own team independently and grew into a professional with a steep learning curve. At Kreditech, everyone has a voice, regardless of position. If the suggestions are liked, they can be implemented the next day and thus have a direct impact on the company and the product. I left for very personal reasons that have nothing to do with Kreditech.”
Kreditech is committed to the well-being of the team at all times: The work culture created enables performance, flexibility and, at the same time, fun at work. People can move to another department or position within the company if they are not satisfied with their current job. Other benefits include an internal training program, Krediversity, where everyone is individually trained and can develop further. Regular team events, such as water skiing, bowling or an international cooking evening are also part of the commitment. By expanding the team, experienced colleagues are supposed to take the quality in the company to the next level.
Statistics and results: Grew from 50 to 150 employees within one year 1.6% turnover on average, significantly lower than the industry standard More than 1,000 applications per month Development of internal employees into leaders Family atmosphere within the entire team Headcount October 2014 Head count development from October 2013 to October 2014
